GM Genuine Parts Basic Limited Warranty

Genuine GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco components installed by an authorized GM dealer are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 24 months/unlimited miles (parts & labor).

Wholesale-sold parts installed by a professional technician carry the same 24-month/unlimited-mile coverage for parts plus up to $150 labor. Over-the-counter DIY parts are covered for 24 months/unlimited miles on a parts-exchange basis only.

If a part is replaced on a vehicle still under the New Vehicle Basic Limited Warranty, coverage extends for the remainder of that 3-year/36,000-mile term or for 24 months from installation—whichever benefits you most.

This warranty also covers towing to the nearest GM dealership if a covered part renders your vehicle inoperative, and any collateral damage caused by a warranted part failure. These express warranties are your sole remedy; they cannot be altered by anyone.

Replacement Battery Limited Warranty

Defective GM Genuine or ACDelco batteries are replaced at no charge during the free-replacement period. If covered by your New Vehicle Basic Warranty, batteries benefit from that remaining term or the free-replacement period—whichever is longer.

Prorated allowances apply outside the free-replacement and New Vehicle Basic terms. Check your battery date code for prorated details. Non-transferable; original receipt required.

Collision Parts Lifetime Limited Warranty

Original-purchaser coverage on GM sheet-metal body parts, bumper covers, and grilles for the life of vehicle ownership, including interior corrosion (perforation). Includes parts, labor, and paint when dealer-installed and preapproved. Vehicles older than eight model years may receive comparable salvage replacements.

Exclusions: Corrosion from fire, accident, abuse, environmental factors, or Acts of God.

OEM Windshield Limited Warranty

Two-year/unlimited-mile coverage on GM OEM windshields against road-debris damage between 1"–3". Includes one free repair or replacement (labor & parts). Excludes other damage types.

Dealer proof of purchase required; one claim per installation.

Catalytic Converter Warranty

Three-year/36,000-mile coverage on converter materials & workmanship. Shell & end-bushing coverage extends to five years/60,000 miles.

Seals & Gaskets Limited Warranty

Twelve-month/unlimited-mile coverage for parts & labor when dealer-installed.
Twelve-month/unlimited-mile parts-exchange only for DIY installs.
(Labor & taxes not covered; receipt required.)

Powertrain Limited Warranty

Three-year/100,000-mile coverage on engines, transmissions, and transfer cases. Reimbursement at GM Warranty Time rates. Registration required at point of sale.

Performance Parts Warranties

“SS…” Series: 24 months/unlimited miles (parts & labor) dealer-installed; parts-exchange only for DIY.
“GP…” Series: 12 months/12,000 miles (parts & labor) dealer-installed; parts-exchange for DIY.
Crate Engine Assemblies: 90 days parts-exchange only unless otherwise specified.

Implied warranties and incidental/consequential damages are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

Bring your vehicle and repair order to any authorized GM dealership. Covered parts & labor will be repaired or replaced at no charge.

What Is Not Covered

• Non-GM parts, misuse, abuse, accident, improper maintenance, racing, or environmental damage.
• Removal or alteration of emissions or safety devices (except EPA/CARB-approved parts in exempt states).

Michigan law governs interpretation. These warranties give you specific legal rights; additional rights may vary by state.
